This is one of the most densely layered tracks on the album Mr. Gone, built on interlocking electronics, percussion and voices rather than a traditional jazz arrangement. Notably, both Jaco Pastorius and Peter Erskine play drums simultaneously on this track, while Shorter’s saxophone is blended into the vocal and electronic textures rather than featured as a lead instrument.
